Reading the security panel

Contract-level risk checks via GMGN's security endpoint.

The Security panel runs contract-level checks against a token via GMGN's security endpoint and surfaces the results in plain language rather than raw contract data.

  • Mint authority — whether the contract owner can still mint new supply after launch, which would dilute existing holders.
  • LP lock — whether liquidity pool tokens are locked (can't be pulled by the deployer) and for how long, if known.
  • Honeypot signals — indicators that most wallets can buy but not sell the token.

Warning

A clean security check reduces one category of risk (malicious contract mechanics) but says nothing about liquidity depth, holder concentration, or whether the project delivers on its stated purpose. Treat it as one input, not a complete risk assessment.
