BattleCard
Battling
How the pick-two, auto-resolve battle mechanic works in the current demo.
Select any two eligible cards from the grid on /battlecard and press Battle. The outcome resolves immediately: each card's combined power score is compared, with a small amount of random variance applied on top of both sides.
That variance exists on purpose — it keeps outcomes from being a pure foregone conclusion where the card backed by the larger token always wins, while still making the underlying power score the dominant factor most of the time.
The clash animation
Once a battle resolves, the two cards animate through a short charge-and-clash sequence before the winner is revealed — purely presentational, it plays out after the result has already been decided rather than influencing it.
Warning
Battle outcomes in the current demo are illustrative only. There's no wallet requirement to participate, no stake, and no reward for winning — every visitor can freely battle any eligible card against any other. See Demo vs. the full system for what a production version would change here.
